SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (May 14, 2009) – The stage is set for a dramatic end to the 2009 NBC Heads-Up Poker Championship sponsored by GoDaddy.com. Viewers are getting a real show as the Go Daddy Girl rips through poker’s top players to earn a seat in the semi-finals.
Go Daddy introduced Vanessa Rousso, Team PokerStars Pro as a new Go Daddy Girl just days before the 5th annual National Heads-Up Poker Championship. Rousso is among 64 of the world’s elite poker professionals vying for the $1.5MM in combined prize money. Only one other woman in history has made it this far.
In this one-on-one competition, Rousso has already taken out some of the hottest names in the poker world. In the first round Rousso defeated Doyle Brunson, World Series of Poker back-to-back title winner. Rousso went on to beat Phil Ivey, Paul Wasicka and Daniel Negreanu. Next, she faces renowned Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier.
